In June 2013 The National Museum in Copenhagen opens its doors for a spectacular Viking exhibition. The exhibition centres around the 37 m long Viking ship Ægir (also known as Roskilde 6). The ship is the world’s longest Viking ship and will be exhibited for the first time since it was found at Roskilde in 1997.

As well as the Viking ship, the exhibition will also feature other fantastic Viking finds and exciting games and activities.

 

Next weekend August 17-18 the national museum hosts a Viking Market in the streets around Frederiksholms Kanal. There will be 40 stands with traditional viking goods, food, beer and music, as well as several childrens activities.
